There are loads and loads of ways to support Upstage! We've put a few of them below, but if you've got any other ideas or would like to help in any other way, please drop us an email at info@upstagecentre.org.uk

Get Involved!

Upstage Centre is run entirely by volunteers, and without the support of people willing to give their time, we couldn't exist.

If you'd like to offer your time or expertise, we always appreciate the help. Depending on what you'd like to do, your experience and how much time you have, there's loads of things you can get involved in:

directing, front of house, teaching, wardrobe, lighting design, catering, supervising, fundraising, sound design,
painting, composing, box office, choreographing, set design, writing, producing... you (quite literally) name it.

Sign up for our mailing list and tick the 'I'd be interested in helping out' box to hear about up and coming opportunities, or if you'd like to give us your ideas straight away: get in touch!

Some great ways to get involved in Upstage Centre Youth Theatre over the coming weeks and months...

VOLUNTEERS FOR FRONT OF HOUSE
We're always looking for volunteers to be part of a team that usher and sell tickets, refreshments and programmes. We'll give you a full briefing, so if you can give some of your time and a smile, in return we'll let you see the show you're ushering for FREE! We typically need 3 people each night who can be there from 30 minutes before the show until the end. If you'd like to volunteer, please contact matt@upstagecentre.org.uk.

VOLUNTEERS FOR YOUTH THEATRE
We're often looking for volunteers to be part of the production team for our youth theatre productions and projects. We look for people who are passionate about theatre and enjoy working with young people, so if you can give some of your time, there are opportunities to get experience teaching young people to sing, dance and act alongside professional practitioners. We always need two adults supervising, so if you haven't had a CRB check in the last 3 years, we will ask for one. If you'd like to volunteer, please contact charlotte@upstagecentre.org.uk.

WORKSHOPS
Upstage Centre Youth Theatre runs regular workshops for young people. So if you have experience of working with young people and are interested in leading/assisting workshop(s) for our youth theatre, please get in touch with mark@upstagecentre.org.uk

STOPPIT AND TIDYUPSTAGE
Roughly once every couple of months, we have 'clear up' days on a Saturday. This is where the trustees and other kind helpers come along to the building, get some odd jobs done, and try to keep the place looking nice and tidy! If you'd like to help keep one of York's best community resources in good shape, we can always use the help...

Donations welcome
Any donations of products and services are very welcome. If you want to help us and you or your organisation have something to offer, please let us know. We'll definitely thank you for it, and the kids will too!

And if you want to make a donation in cash, you can now donate by text: just text UCYT41 and then the amount (it can be £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10, so you might text 'UCYT41 £3') to 70070. You can even gift aid it!

Sponsorship & partnerships
If you would like to work with us, we'd love to hear from you. There's plenty of opportunity for building relationships in the local community, for cross-promotion and to share resources. If you are interested, please contact charlotte@upstagecentre.org.uk.

Advertising opportunities
If you are interested in raising your profile in the York community and among local arts people, we can offer multimedia services for your brand, including online, print (e.g. production programmes), outdoor and indoor posters. If you are interested, please contact charlotte@upstagecentre.org.uk.
