Welcome to Upstage Centre Youth Theatre & our venue, a bustling arts centre based at 41 Monkgate, only a few hundred yards from York's historic city walls. We run youth theatre activity at the arts centre, show productions from visiting companies and hire out rehearsal, performance and office space.

There are loads of opportunities to volunteer at Upstage Centre Youth Theatre. The charity is run entirely by volunteers; the best thing to do if you want to get involved is sign up to our mailing list using the link on the right and then select the 'opportunities to help out' option, among others... We'll be in touch when we need some help! Stoppit and TidyUpstage We head down to the theatre every couple of months for our regular clear-up days, and we would love to see you there. If you're available, please pop in between 10am and 3pm... We spend time doing everything from little tasks like cleaning, to large ones like sorting out costume or our basement. Coming up soon, will be sorting out our garden (yes! We have a garden!) and cataloguing our props... There's always tea, usually some biscuits, and if enough people come, we'll go and get some cake! |
